I saw a UFO when I was about 11 years old. Scared the dickens out of me!
I was laying in bed, on my tummy, propped up on my elbows, looking out the window. It was raining (not storming), and I couldn't sleep.
A glowing oval-shaped object slowly rose up from the woods behind my dad's workshop. It was the size of a small house or a bus. There was no sound coming from it. I watched -- totally frozen -- as it went up into the air, and then curved around like it was going to "land" again. At that time, I slammed the curtains closed, and laid in the bed, too afraid to move or even call for my parents, heart pounding. I don't remember anything else after that, except for waking up the next morning. I told my parents about it. My dad believed me, but my mom thought I'd just had a bad dream or something (nope, most definitely not a dream).
I played in the woods often, and when I finally got the nerve to go into the woods again, I found a weird "rock" in a small clearing, in the same area that I'd seen the UFO. I collected rocks, and knew that I'd never seen that object before. It was white with blue speckles, and was much too lightweight to be a real rock. It almost felt like plastic, but it was very hard like a rock. Unfortunately, I don't know whatever happened to it.

I kept it for a long time, but it's possible that my mom threw it out along with most of my other rocks when we moved a couple of years later. (Okay, so my whole closet floor was nothing but rocks!

And then there was the time when DH and I were sitting in the living room watching TV, and we both saw a really weird thing! Our living room and kitchen are basically one big room with only a half-wall separating them. There's a sliding glass door in the kitchen. Both of our recliners were facing the kitchen, and we both happened to glance up and see a sparkling blue-ish "thing" appear to come in through the (closed) sliding glass door, follow the wall to the corner, turn the corner, follow along another wall, turn the corner, and disappear down the hall. It looked like one of those "plasma balls" that you see in stores, but without the glass globe. It didn't make any sounds, or make any marks along with wall.
We looked at each other, big-eyed, and looked down the hall to see where it went, but it was gone. We never did figure out what it was. DH even went outside and shined a flashlight through the glass door, to see if, perhaps, someone was playing a trick on us, but there was no way a flashlight could be aimed in those angles. Someone suggested it might've been ball lightning, but it seems like lightning would've burnt the walls. Weird.

Has anyone else ever seen anything unexplainable or strange?
